THREAD-LIFT

Thread Lift is a non-surgical procedure using temporary threads to produce a non-surgical facelift. It is suitable for loose skin around the mid to lower face. It repositions sagging skin, providing a more youthful appearance. It is also regenerative and stimulates collagen and elastin production.

TREATMENT SUMMARY

Thread-lift, or PDO threads, is a minimally invasive treatment that helps to lift sagging areas of the face improving the appearance of cheeks, lines, wrinkles, and jowls, without the need for sedation, hospital stay, or downtime you would experience with facelift surgery.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How is the treatment carried out?

The procedure is carried out under local anesthetic, using threads made of Polydioxanone (PDO).

Can I see results straight away?

The PDO Thread Lift is a treatment that lifts and tightens sagging skin tissue, resulting in Instant Skin Lifting. About 6 months after the procedure, the PDO threads will disappear through simple hydrolysis (they are absorbable). The lifted facial contours will remain for about 3-6 months more, due to the cellular rejuvenation effects.

Are there any side effects?

As with all procedures, there is a risk of some side effects which are generally related to the technique of insertion and the types of threads used. These could include surface depressions, thread migration facial asymmetry, prolonged pain, and dimpling.

Other possible side effects that are rare, but could still occur include infection, nerve damage, the formation of nodules, and damage to the salivary ducts.  Always consult your doctor if you experience any side effects or have any questions.
