SKIN BOOSTERS
Skin Boosters work by improving skin hydration using hyaluronic acid (HA) gel which is delivered in tiny micro droplets throughout the area to be treated. These areas include the back of the hands, décolleté, neck and face.

The technology works on the principle that a single molecule of HA attracts a thousand times its own molecular weight in water, as a result, this influences the skin's extra-cellular matrix. The effect of this is to improve skin hydration, elastin, and collagen resulting in progressive conditioning of the skin. Restylane Skin Booster technology has been around for 12 years with over 2 million syringes used worldwide.
Skin Boosters contain Hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a naturally occurring molecule and one of the chief components of connective tissue, forming a ‘gelatinous matrix’ that surrounds cells making the skin appear smoother, plumper, and hydrated. We lose approximately 1% of our natural HA per year from the age of 28 years old.
A course of 3 treatments is recommended spaced 3-6 weeks apart. To maintain the effects of what has been achieved we repeat one treatment every 6-9 months.
30% of patients report an improvement in how their skin feels after their first treatment. For optimal results, you will see the maximum benefit after a course of 3 treatments.
Patients report their skin texture has improved and they have a natural glow. Russians actually call it the ‘photoshop effect’, as you look as though you have a filter in real life!
Most patients start with skin boosters on the face, however, you can treat the neck, décolleté, and hands. The back of the hands is often an area that is neglected. Second, only to the face, the hands are the area most affected by sun damage for which skin-boosters provide the ideal solution for re-hydration. The neck and décolleté areas are often thought to be beyond repair and for which it is believed there is no treatment. Skin-boosters are designed to treat these areas and reverse some of the processes of skin aging.
Our goal is to help support you in achieving the best result and in a comfortable manner. A topical local anesthetic cream is applied to make the treatment more comfortable. The total treatment time is 45mins, however, the needle-to-skin time is around 5 mins, the remaining time being dedicated to preparing the skin with a local anesthetic cream and sterilising the area to be treated.
Skin boosters are suitable for all ages, male and female, it is an ideal treatment for anyone looking to give their skin a boost and obtain a more youthful glow.
